Bringing Live Arts to Students and Teachers

In 2025, as part of BLAST an Arts & Creativity in Education Residency, I collaborated with an ASD class in Ballymahon Vocational School. Our pairing began with a creative workshop in mark-making where the students and I played a variety of creative games and exercises. Later in the workshop I chatted with the students, their group teacher and SNAs about what creative processes they would like to explore and we decided upon printmaking.

Through this residency, participants developed new skills in a variety of fun and tactile printmaking processes that suited the variety of skill levels and needs as all 8 students that participated were from different years. The artwork that was created was then displayed in school in a group exhibition.
