Attymass National School Mural
As part of Cruinniú na nÓg in 2025, I spent two days with Attymass National School and it's pupils working on developing a mural on the long low wall on the side of their school yard.
When I arrived, I showed the pupils and students some rough ideas and we discussed what direction they wanted to go in. Together, we decided upon a nature theme linking in the gorgeous natural beauty all around the tiny village. We brainstormed what elements to put on each panel and I sketched up a design that they were happy with.
On the second day the students and I got stuck into priming, sketching out the design onto the wall and painting as much as we could. This is what was completed in the first two days, with the full mural to be completed in an upcoming summer camp.
