Family Time At Your Library

In 2024, I received a Longford Arts Bursary Award which allowed me time to research and develop my artistic practice in arts participation. In November and December of the same year, I held a series of 5 pilot printmaking workshops in Longford, Edgeworthstown and Ballymahon libraries as part of their Family Time at Your Library events.

These workshops were an opportunity for me to test out my new workshops in LEGO and lino block printing. These were met with great enthusiasm, attracting a variety of skill levels and ages, as children and their guardians came together to design, make and print their own artwork. The experience strengthened my commitment to community-focused, collaborative art practices and has guided my work since.
