Ballymun is Brilliant

As part of this project, I hosted a pop-up live printing event in collaboration with the Thanks Hun, Ballymun Swap Shop, where participants could pull their own prints and transform their clothing, tote bag or a textile patch with pre-prepared designs.

This was followed by 2 workshops in Axis Ballymun and 1 in Poppintree Youth Project where participants decided upon the printmaking methods they as a group wanted to explore, such as lino block and screenprinting. Participants brought old or unused fabrics (like t-shirts or bags) or used textile scraps donated and experimented with print to upcycle them and create unique pieces, whilst continuing a dialogue around sustainable fashion and climate justice.
